Steep transition, clearer checkpoint
An over-the-top move is hard to fix from feel alone because the visible miss can be a slice, pull, weak fade, or steep strike. SwingSmith turns a normal swing video into a score, P10 frame sequence, written priority, and visual analysis so the next practice session has one testable checkpoint.
Step 1
Capture the swing that produces the pull, slice, weak fade, or steep contact instead of filming only the best rep.
Step 2
Use the score, P10 frame sequence, written priority, and visual feedback to see where the move starts.
Step 3
Take one priority to the next bucket, net session, or simulator visit so the fix is easier to test.
Step 4
Upload a follow-up swing when ball flight or contact changes so practice stays tied to visible positions.
An over-the-top move often shows up after the top of the backswing, but setup, takeaway, and arm structure can influence it earlier.
Useful feedback should connect the ball-flight miss to body, club, and sequence checkpoints instead of only saying the path is steep.
Most golfers do not need a longer checklist. They need one visible checkpoint to test during the next practice session.
Start with the swing that misses
Install SwingSmith, upload a clear swing video, and use the analysis to decide what to test at the next range, net, or simulator session.
It can help by turning a swing video into checkpoints, a P10 sequence, and one practice priority. A coach still matters, but video-backed feedback can make the recurring move easier to discuss and test.
No. The better workflow is to analyze the swing video and focus on the checkpoint that appears most important, rather than giving every golfer the same drill.
Record the normal miss you want to understand. The goal is to review the pattern that actually shows up during practice or play.
Yes. SwingSmith is built around phone video, so range practice, simulator sessions, and home net practice can all work when the camera angle is clear and repeatable.
No. Swing analysis runs inside the iOS and Android app so uploads, results, history, and coaching tools stay connected.
